Power Digital Marketing - Creative Internship
Paid Social / UI/UX / Brand Guides / Mockups
During my final semester at San Diego State University, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Creative Intern at Power Digital Marketing. I created engaging visual assets for digital advertising campaigns, including Meta and Instagram ads, branding guides, mockups and UI landing pages. I collaborated closely with the Associate Creative Director and the creative team to develop on-brand designs that aligned with campaign strategies and business goals.
Clients I worked with included: Quadient, Name.com, Restaurant Technologies, Sunsolve, Bath Fitter, and Grease Monkey.
Sunsolve
For this project, I was tasked with creating four GIF and two static advertisements for SunSolve, a company newly launching on Meta and Instagram. We promoted their Mineral SPF and Skin Tint products, focusing on highlighting their unique skincare and sun protection benefits.
This project challenged and refined my typography skills as I collaborated closely with the motion graphics and creative strategy teams to design visually compelling assets that reflected the brand identity and drove audience engagement.
Name.com
Developed new template variations for Name.com's Newsletter and Flash Sale emails, drawing on thorough brand research and competitive analysis for inspiration. In response to the client’s request for fresh, out-of-the-box ideas and alternative layouts proven to perform well in email marketing, I introduced creative concepts that pushed beyond their standard design approach.
Later in my internship, I was tasked with creating 1x1 and 9x16 Meta and Instagram ad templates that could be adapted for the various TLDs offered by Name.com.
Bath Fitter
Completed an assignment for Bath Fitter using Frame.io, a platform where clients review project revisions and provide feedback. In response to client comments requesting a new copy with a different image and updated graphic elements, I implemented the necessary design changes to meet their vision and deliver a polished final asset.
Mockups
Created mockups for two brand guides for clients, Lifeguard and ProshotX. I prioritized showcasing each brand's core identity, followed by their design elements. The mockups were designed to attract future clients and to present the completed work that the design team had developed. This project helped me learn how to create mockups from scratch and how to effectively present design work to clients.
Restaurant Technologies
I was tasked with implementing a provided copy into a pre-designed landing page template created by another designer. This assignment challenged my typography skills, required thoughtful problem-solving, and strengthened my ability to interpret and work with professionally written copy.
Brand Research and Guide
Bright Farms Brand Guide
Tasked with researching the existing brand "Quadient," which is undergoing a rebrand to appear less dated and more engaging. I created a brand guide documenting their current graphic elements to better understand their identity, values, and existing design system. Following this, I developed a second document compiling visual inspiration and competitive analysis, exploring how other B2B brands present themselves. This process provided insight into how Quadient's branding could evolve to feel more modern, dynamic, and appealing.
